I have been involved in the management and maintenance of Local Authority roads, lighting and motorways in Central Scotland for over 25 years.

Progressed from a trainee Civil Engineering Technician to my current position as Operations Manager.

Incorporated Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Highway Incorporated Engineers

I joined Amey Highways Business Unit – Scottish South West Trunk Roads Unit in October 2001 as Service Manager having previously managed and maintained the urban motorway network within Glasgow and the surrounding area with Glasgow City Council.

August 2002 promoted to Operations Manager Amey Roads ( North Lanarkshire) Ltd responsible for the operational and financial management of the roads and lighting within North Lanarkshire Council, the lighting term maintenance contract with South Lanarkshire and recently the management and service delivery of lighting works on the Scottish Trunk Roads South East & West Units.

Currently working on Development Control with Argyll & Bute Council, Helensburgh & Lomond Area.

I have been involved in the management and maintenance of Local Authority roads in Central Scotland for over 30 years.

Progressed from Trainee Civil Engineering Technician to my current position as Operations Manager, and am now an Incorporated Engineer and Fellow of the IHIE.

I have been involved in Renfrew County Council, Strathclyde Regional council (Lanark West) and now East Renfrewshire Council.

In January 2003 I was appointed as Operations Manager (Highway Contracting Unit) East Renfrewshire, responsible for the operational and financial management of the roads and lighting within the area.

After starting on a temporary contract with the Engineering Department, I moved onto a Technician Training Scheme, then a Technician post, followed by a Senior Technician position. For the last few years I have been managing various construction sites as a Site Agent for the Transportation Service, covering locations Fife wide.

Currently coordinating surfacing operations across Fife.
